Inequality

For some reason, a lot of people these days are fooled into the belief that we can not sustain the growing population in terms of producing enough food. If only that was the case. Actually, with the technology we have today and the amount of farmland available, there is more than enough food for everyone on the planet. The reason people are starving is due to greed and inequality. The fat North Americans hoard all the food, leaving little for the vast amount of people in poorer countries that go without every single day.

An interesting link about the amount and cost of a family's food for a week. Notice how the families grow and the food decreases as you scroll down the page.
